5A / Mint The 5A or Mint quality golf balls are the best available grade of recycled balls. These balls are in like-new condition, showing minimal wear and retaining their original color and sheen. They may have player markings, team logos, or corporate logos, but they are nearly indistinguishable from new balls.

4A / Near Mint The 4A or Near Mint quality recycled golf balls may have slight imperfections, similar to how a new ball would look after 1-3 holes of golf. These balls may have scuff marks, minor discoloration, or cosmetic blemishes that do not affect their performance. Player markings, team logos, and corporate logos may be present.

3A / Good The 3A or Good quality recycled golf balls are still very playable and in good condition, resembling a new ball after around 9 holes of golf. They may have moderate surface blemishes, minor scuffs, or discoloration, but these will not impact the ball's flight characteristics. They may include minor scratches but no cuts or gouges. Practice and X-OUT models may be included, along with player markings and logos.

2A / Hit Away The 2A or Hit Away quality recycled golf balls are cosmetically challenged, with major surface blemishes, discoloration, or even cuts. These balls are not recommended for regular play but are perfect for practice purposes where losing a ball is not a concern. Remember, these are used golf balls, not refurbished.
